Questions? Any Questions?

Anyone who know me knows I love research.  Research is your friend.  When I want to learn about someone or something new I become stalkerish excessively curious.  I want to learn everything I can about a subject. I applied this thought process with adoption and got more than I bargained for.

I had so many questions, myths, and misinformation. What if birth mom wants the baby back?  Should I consider a baby with special needs?  If I do, which special needs? It costs how much again?  Do they need that all at one time???

To combat my ignorance I read.  I read books. I read essays. I read blogs.  Boy did I ever.  I'm still reading blogs.  Most of them has been helpful while some of them have been scary and intimidating.  I know their story is not my story.  There may be some similarities but everyone is different.

So, I know if I have questions you have questions.  Feel free to ask.  On here or in person.

Until then...

Why we're here.

I have considered adoption for many years.  As a matter of fact I originally planned to build my family through adoption.  But if you want to make God laugh make plans.  I am blessed with two children but the desire to adopt never went away.

Through years of research, prayer, and faith we came together as a family to decide to adopt a baby domestically.  We are new to this process and sometimes I feel that too much information can be daunting.  Luckily, we have received support and information from agencies and facilitators.  Our coordinator has been a big help.

We are excited and hopeful of what the future may bring.  Please pray for our endurance during this process.

Until then...

Welcome

Welcome to our blog.

For those of you who know us...Hi.  For those who don't allow us to introduce ourselves.

I am Jamie.  Married to a loving man for almost 11 years, blessed with two wonderful children, while living in  NC.  We are also beginning the process to expand our family through adoption.

We are excited...can't you tell?

Until then...
